They Came to a City
This play, first performed in 1943, is about hope for the future. Nine people are shown what the future can hold and how wonderful it can be, if they only have the courage to leave their preconceptions and old values behind. Some can face this brave new world while others cannot. Some even turn their backs on everything they desire.
