Our Linda, Our Carol and Freda
When Linda and Carol, who together form a tatty, song and dance act, return for a 'one-night stand' to their home town in Lancashire, it is only right and proper that they should visit the woman who became their 'mother' when their own parents were killed in a car crash. Sadly they arrive too late - the women has died - but her daughter Freda is there to welcome them 'home'. But who is the man, Frank, who seems to be living there - Freda surely is a confirmed spinster who devoted her life to her aged mother? Have the passing years changed the order of things - or is it only an illusion. Certainly, Cyril from next door, simple-minded and stone deaf, hasn't changed at all.
