A Man for All Seasons
This magnificent historical drama tells with wit and humour the story of Sir Thomas More and his conflict with Henry VIII. The young King, tired of his wife Catherine, seeks to have the marriage dissolved. Sir Thomas, although a devoted subject of the King, cannot reconcile his conscience to this step, and the play follows the struggle in the Court between conscience and expediency and its tragic result.
