It Should Happen to a Dog by Wolf Mankowitz

God wants Jonah to cry against the great city of Nineveh.  Jonah wants a quiet life. One of them is going to have to compromise.  God has more tricks up his sleeve than Paul Daniels.  Jonah has insomnia.  It Should Happen to a Dog is a modern language re-working of the well known Bible story with a few added extras such as velcro coconuts, meat pies and Otis Redding thrown in for good measure.

Hero by Michael Lynch

'New young faces grow sad and old and hearts of fire grow cold....'  And Private Ralph Underwood will pass his final hours of life the subject of a dilemma between the military and the medical; the humane and the bureaucratic.  It is 1916 and senior staff at the casualty cleaning-station near the Western Front must decide whether Private Underwood should be kept conscious and in acute pain to face military charges or if he can be allowed to die a hero.
