The Garden Party

Richard is 70 today and Jan, his wife (several years his junior), has organised a party in the garden of their house overlooking the sea on the Isle of Wight.  All appears to be running smoothly until Ben, their eldest son, arrives three hours late and brings with him a stranger.  Who is this man and why will his presence in the house be the cause of such disquiet?  In a play both funny and moving by turns, it soon becomes clear that this ordinary 'happy' family has things to hide from each other - nothing, in fact, is what it seems.
