The Fosdyke Saga

Impoverished Josiah Fosdyke, his faithful wife Becky and their children arrive seeking the good life in Edwardian Manchester, where the streets are studded with meat pies.  Who should they meet but the North's most successful tripe baron, kindly old Mr. Ditchley?  And who would nubile young nymphet Victoria Fosdyke meet but young Roger Ditchley, who seems to be taking a very friendly interest.  The family fortunes are definitely on the up.  

Bill Tidy's Fosdyke Saga went on from the Daily Mirror strip cartoon to be dramatised for radio, TV (we think) and, in this splendid adaptation by Alan (Z Cas) Plater, pub theatre.
