John Mortimer is an acknowledged writer for theatre, film, radio and TV of plays with relevant themes for today which contain witty and sophisticated dialogue, crisp and to the point.  In Collaborators, a light comedy about a young couple struggling to keep their heads above a rising tide of bills and babies, this ready wit and natural dialogue is at its best.  Into the lives of Henry and Katherine comes Sam, a larger-than-life American who offers Henry the chance to collaborate on a film script - until he decides he would rather collaborate with Katherine.  Henry finds solace with his assistant Griselda, who has previously had to be content with afternoon tea at the Kardomah.
