A Christmas Carol
This year's Christmas show is an adaptation of Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol, complete with visual effects, dancing, and original music and lyrics composed by Will Williams.
Ebenezer Scrooge detests people; they exist only to provide money through exploitation. On Christmas Eve the spirit of Jacob Marley visits his old partner, hoping to save him from the awful fate that awaits him in the afterlife. Shades of Christmas past, present and future haunt Scrooge and at length he rediscovers the kind and generous person he was in youth. Christmas Day finds him happy in the company of his nephew and sending a Christmas turkey to his long-suffering clerk.
Scrooge even increases Bob Cratchit's salary and so saves Tiny Tim. This adaptation by Ken Mason of one of the best ever ghost stories makes for an affecting and uplifting Christmas celebration not to be missed.
