Are You Lonesome Tonight?
Are You Lonesome Tonight is a tough and moving account of the King's last days, set against the brilliance of his youthful success. Though music plays a significant part, the play is not a musical in the accepted sense and is not suitable for children. Of it Alan Bleasdale writes "the play is about the most loved, famous and grotesquely abused man of our times. It is also meant to be a fable about a truly fabulous man, a myth and an impression of what I believe to be the cause of the last painful and traumatic years in the life of Elvis Presley."
