We Happy Few

We Happy Few is an uplifting, touching and often hilarious story of overcoming adversity with a dogged determination and a passion for theatre. The play follows a group of women with their own stories to tell as they tour Britain during the Second World War performing Shakespeare and music in village halls.

Inspired by the true wartime history of the Osiris Players, Imogen Stubbs’ comedy tells of their adventures as the women come together to form a “girls only” theatre company and bring entertainment to a culture-starved Britain.
